Death notices for Donegal

The following deaths have taken place:

(Michael) John McGarrigle, Bundoran

The death has taken place peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, of Michael) John McGarrigle, 6 Marina Court, Dinglei Coush, Bundoran.

Predeceased by his beloved his parents Michael and Rita McGarrigle, his brother Brendan and sister Yvonne, he is forever loved and cherished by his beloved wife Geraldine, his sons Jonathan, Ciaran and Neill, daughters-in-law Marian and Deirdre, his adored grandchildren Jack, Kyle, Katie, Lauren, Lucy and Darragh, his sisters Marie Gormerly and Aideen McGarrigle, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

His remains are reposing at home with house strictly private please.

Removal from the family home on Thursday morning at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection 11am. Removal afterwards to Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Cavan for Cremation Service at 2pm. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.magheneparish.ie

No flowers please, donations in memory of John to The North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo care of Breslin’s Funeral Home.

Gary Merritt, Stranorlar

The sudden death has occurred at his late residence of Gary Merritt, Drumboe, Stranorlar, F93 A27A.

Beloved husband of Rose, much-loved father of Oisin, Natasha, and the late Shane, cherished son of Bernie and the late Luke, dearly loved brother of Marion, Joy, Lucy, Martina, Michael, Maurice, Eunan, Jeffery, and Clement, devoted grandfather to Harlow and Raelyn. Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his wife, son, daughter, mother, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.

His remains are reposing at his late residence on Monday from 6pm to 10pm and on Tuesday from 11am until 10pm.

Funeral leaving from his home on Wednesday at 10.20 am for Requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar. Interment in Castlefinn cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the parish webcam

Mary Patricia (Pat) Brady, Cavan and Glenties

The death has occurred of Mary Patricia (Pat) Brady, née Breslin, Carnagh Upper, Kilcogy, Cavan and formerly, Glenties. She passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital on March 18, surrounded by her loving family, in her 90th year.

Predeceased by her Parents, James and Bridget, brothers Bernard and Neily, Pat will be very sadly missed by her heartbroken family, husband John, sons Johnny, James and Neil, her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Joan, Evelyn, Una and Caroline, daughters-in-law Brenda and Carmel, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews relatives and a large circle of friends and neighbours.

House private please. Removal to St Mary’s Church, Bruskey, Cavan, H12XO67, on Monday, March 23 arriving at 6pm.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon with interment afterwards in Mullaghboy Cemetery. Mass can be viewed live here

Michael McInerney, Ballyshannon

The peaceful death has taken place of Michael McInerney, formerly of The Mall, Ballyshannon. He passed away peacefully on February 27 at Potters Grange nursing home, Potters Bar, England.

Sadly missed by his loving sons Michael and Garry, daughter Diana, grandchildren Sean, Kelly, Christie, Hayley, Megan, Hannah, Callum, Sean and Rauri, he is predeceased by his wife Margaret.

His remains are reposing at John McGee & Sons Funeral Home, Belleek Road, Ballyshannon, F94ED21 on Monday, March 23 from 5pm to 7pm.

Removal on Tuesday from the funeral to St Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon for 11am funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the Abbey cemetery.
