Anne Larkin, Letterkenny

The death has taken place surrounded by her loving family of Anne Larkin (nee Gallagher), 3 Rosemount Villas, Letterkenny.

Anne is survived by her loving sons Stephie, Alec and Mel, grandchildren and daughters in law.

Anne will be reposing at her son Alec’s residence Glencar Scotch, Letterkenny from 7pm until after the rosary on Thursday, January 22 and from 11am to after the rosary on Friday.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 1.30pm in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny with burial afterwards in Leck Cemetery.

Mass can be viewed at www.steunanscatherdal.ie. Family time on the morning of the funeral please. Family flowers only please.

Patrick Ferry, Falcarragh

The death has taken place of Patrick Ferry, Lower Carrowcannon, Falcarragh.

He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget, his brother Maurice, his sister Sally, and his nephews Brian Gibson and Patrick Ferry.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, sons Michael and PJ, daughters Kat, Breege and Mags, daughters-in-law Sharon and Anna, sons-in-law Tom and Rodney, grandchildren Cillian, Alanna, Sadie, Manus, Aedan and Sasha, brothers Joe and Marion, Barney and Margaret, sisters Anne and Edward, Madge and James, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Patrick’s remains are reposing at his son Michael’s home in Lower Carrowcannon, with wake commencing on Thursday, January 22, at 3pm and on Friday from 12 noon. Rosary both nights at 8pm. House private after the Rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from there on Saturday, January for 11am Requiem Mass in St Finian’s Church, Falcarragh, F92 X302, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Pat Mohan, Letterbarrow

The death has taken place of Pat Mohan, Dudley, England, and formerly of Tullynagreana, Letterbarrow who passed away after a period of illness in Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley.

Predeceased by his beloved parents Francis and Margaret, his uncle Thomas, and his siblings Roseanna, Bernard and Martina.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving brothers and sisters Jim (Mary), Mary (Ray), Martin, William (Sally), Michael (Anne), John (Ann), Ambrose (Teresa) and Bernie (Victor), his nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family and friends.

Cremation took place in Dudley on Friday, January 16.

Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday, January 24, at 11am in the Church of the Holy Redeemer, Drimarone, followed by interment of ashes in the family plot in Drimarone graveyard.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all those who cared for Pat throughout his illness.

Gamble Catherine, Carrigans

The death has taken place of Gamble Catherine (nee Devenney),  formerly of Carrigans.

she passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital. Much loved wife of the late John, loving sister of David and the late James.

Funeral service in D&R Hay and Sons, Funeral Home, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Londonderry BT47 3QQ on Saturday, January 24 at 11.00am followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired (cheques made payable to Waterside Presbyterian Church) c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director (address as above). email address would be appreciated for receipts.

Everyone is welcome to call at the Funeral Home on Friday, January from 2.00pm until 4.00pm evening from 6.00pm until 8.00pm

Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her entire family circle.

Frank Kelly, Killygordon

The death has occurred at Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny, of Frank Kelly, 14 Ballinacor, Crossroads, Killygordon. F93 X8XR.

Predeceased by his wife Sarah. Much loved father to Tommy, Marie (Adi), Bernard (Biggi), Frankie, and Brigid, dearly loved grandfather to Darragh, Adam, Jason, Niall, and Conor, and great-grandfather to Saoirse, cherished brother of the late Patrick, Mick, John Joe, Tommy, Annie (Sharkey), Bridget (Slevin), Lawrence, Barney, Eddie, Peter, and Susan (Harper).

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his sons, daughters, sister-in-law, Jean, partner Rita, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchild, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home on Thursday, January 22 from 6pm to 9pm and on Friday  from 12 noon to 9pm.

Funeral leaving from there on Saturday Jan 24th at 10.40 am for 11am Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon.

Interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Des Kavanagh, Galway and Clonmany

The death has occurred of Des Kavanagh, Roslin, Taylor’s Hill, Galway City, Galway, H91NX6F and Formerly of Clonmany.

Des died peacefully surrounded by those he loved in the late hours of Monday, January 19.

Deeply mourned by his wife Mary and sons Ronan and Conal. He will always be fondly remembered also by his daughters-in-law Liz and Laura, and by his grandchildren Anna, Tom, Eve, Ryan, Callum and Charlie, by his much-loved brother and sister, Fidelma (USA) and Terence (USA), brother-in-law John, nephews and nieces, former colleagues, relatives and friends. 

Predeceased by his precious and beloved son Rory and his older sister Maeve and husband Billy and sister-in-law Mary Jane.

Des will lie in repose at the family home on Taylors Hill ('Roslin' H91NX6F) on Thursday, January 22 from 5.30pm to 8 p.m. 

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Des on Friday on arrival at St. Joseph's Parish Church, Presentation Road at 11 a.m. (H91 YA30).

 Following Mass, he will be laid to rest with his beloved son Rory in Rahoon cemetery.

Eugene Carlin, Crolly

The death has taken place at Falcarragh Community Hospital of Eugene Carlin of Mín na Leice, Crolly.

Predeceased by his father Hugo, mother Bridget, and brother Neil. Survived by his brother Hugh, and sisters Anna and Mary Rose. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

His remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) between 4pm and 8pm on Thursday, January 22. Funeral Mass will take place at 11am on Friday, January 23 in St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Norah McBride, Milford

The death has taken place at her home of Norah McBride, Golan, Milford, F92 A431.

Deeply regretted by her sisters Margaret Gallagher and Winnie Hennessy, nephew Bernard, Michelle and family, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents John and Winnie, brother Barney and sisters Julia, Kay and Susan.

Reposing at her home today, Wednesday January 21 st from 2pm until 10pm, and tomorrow, Thursday January 22nd from 10am until 10pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday, January 23 at 11am in St Brigid’s Church, Golan.

Burial afterwards in Milford Cemetery.

Those attending the wake between the hours of 6pm and 10pm should park at Golan Chapel and a bus will be provided from there.

Audrey Stevens, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at Faithfull House Care Home, Cheltenham, England of Audrey Stevens née Coyle, formerly of Cornagill and High Road, Letterkenny.

Deeply missed by daughters Danielle and Siobhan, son Paul, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family and friends.

Audrey is predeceased by sisters Phyllis, Carrie and Avery and brothers Cyril, Hillary and Fenton.

Audrey will be reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny F92 XE35 on Thursday, January 22 from 6pm until 8pm.

Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am in St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny.

Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

Donations to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust c/o any family member.

Helen McLoughlin, Bundoran and Edinburgh

The death has occurred of Helen McLoughlin, Edinburgh, and formerly of Bundoran, Co. Donegal, who was found tragically deceased at her home in South Lome Place, Edinburgh, on Monday, September 22, 2025.

Beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Kathleen McLoughlin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her brothers Enda and Donal, relatives and friends.

She will be missed terribly by all who knew her. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

The scattering of Helen’s ashes will take place at Dowie’s Mill Lane, Cramond Bridge, Edinburgh, at 11.00am on Saturday, January 24, to which family and friends are warmly invited.

Refreshments afterwards in the Bow Bar, 80 West Bow, Edinburgh, EH1 2HH.
