Anne Marie McClay, (née Heeney), Ardara
The death has occurred of Anne Marie Mc Clay nee Heeney Lagunna, Ardara, Sadly missed by her husband Richard sons Lee, Shane and Conor, grandson Dylan, her extended family, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her mother and father  Catherine and Francis and brother Frankie.
Remains reposing at McCabe’s Funeral Home Common, Ardara (F94 VCK1) on Saturday, September 20 and on Sunday from 6pm to 9pm.
Removal to The Church of the Holy Family Ardara on Monday morning for Funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live here.
Eugene Brolly, Culdaff and Glasgow
The sudden death has taken place at his home of Eugene Brolly, Templemoyle, Culdaff and formerly of Glasgow.
Predeceased by his parents Bridget and Eugene.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Patricia, brother-in-law Ayad, nieces Sarah and Nadia, close friends John and Catherine McGeoghan, his beloved dog Rosie, friends and neighbours
Eugene’s remains will repose at Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh F93 E4FN on Saturday, September 20 from 6pm until 9pm, where all nre welcome to pay respects.
Eugene’s funeral Mass will take place on Sunday, September 21 at 10.30am in St Patrick’s Church, Aughaclay, followed by private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
Jim Kee, Crossroads
The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Jim Kee, Aveltygort, Crossroads, Killygordon.
Beloved son of the late George and Annabelle, devoted brother of William, Robert, George, Rita and the late Eileen and Ivan. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers, sister, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
Reposing at his late residence on Saturday, September 20 from 4pm. Funeral leaving his residence on Monday September 22 at 1.30pm for Service of Thanksgiving in St. Anne’s Parish Church, Monellan, Crossroads at 2pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.
The house is private to the family and close friends only please, at the request of the deceased.
Brother Danny McFadden, Dun Laoghaire, and Falcarragh
The death has occurred of Brother Danny McFadden, late of Dun Laoghaire and formerly of Ballyboes, Falcarragh.
He passed away peacefully on September 19 in the wonderful care of the sisters and staff of Our Lady’s Manor, Dalkey.
Beloved son of the late Bernard and Sophia, loving brother of Annie Ferry (Barney) and the late James. Sadly missed by his sister, nephews and nieces, his Brothers-in-Religion, extended family and friends.
Reposing on Monday, September 22 in Quinn’s of Glasthule A96EW88 from 4pm to 6pm. Removal on Tuesday to St Joseph’s Church, Glasthule arriving for 10am Funeral Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/glasthule followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery.
Fr Michael Keaveny, Moville, and Co Derry
The peaceful death has taken place at Longfield Care Home, Derry, surrounded by his family of Fr Michael Keaveny, formerly of Moville, St Columb’s College, and the parishes of Galliagh, Omagh and Killygordon and latterly of Faughanvale Parish, Co.Derry.
Predeceased by his parents James and Bridget and his brothers and sisters, Fr Laurence, Paddy, JJ, Peter, Brendan, Anna, Chris, Mary and Bernie.
Deeply regretted by his brother Vincent and sister Eileen (Farrelly), nieces and nephews and extended family.
Sorely missed by his brother priests, Bishop of Derry Diocese – Bishop Donal McKeown, remembering also his devoted housekeeper of 47 years, Ms Nancy McCallion, who died on September 1st 2025.
Fr Michael’s remains will arrive at Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale on Friday, September 19 at approximately 6.15pm for reception prayers.
Removal from there on Saturday, September 20 at 1pm going to the home of his niece, Dr Lucy White, 2 Church Terrace, Moville (F93 D2KN) where all are welcome to pay respects.
Funeral from there on Monday, September 22 at 11.30am for 12pm Requiem Mass in St Pius X Church, Moville followed by Interment in Ballybrack cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.movilleparish.com.

Mary Sawyer, Lisfannon
The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Mary Sawyer, St Mura’s, McCarron’s Lane, Lisfannon.
Predeceased by her husband Eric, her brother Patsy Walker and her sister Annie McCarron.
Deeply mourned and will be sadly missed by her loving brother Andy and his wife Isabelle Walker, nieces, nephews, her extended family and friends.
Removal from Murphy’s Funeral Home (F93PW96) this evening, Friday, 19th September at 6.00pm going to her late residence.
Removal from there on Sunday morning, September 21 at 10.45am to St. Mura’s Church, Fahan for Requiem Mass at 11.30am followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Nancy Gallagher, Glenties
The peaceful death has occurred, surrounded by her family, of Nancy Gallagher, Meenagrubby, Glenties.
Predeceased by her husband Donal and son Martin.
Deeply regretted by her son Pat, daughters Breid (Charlie), Mary (Brian), grandchildren Maria (Pauric), Kieran (Jackie), Martin (Simone), Conor (Claire), Christopher (Megan), great-grandchildren, Jason, Jaimie-Leigh, Layla and Ariyah, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Ellen Green (née Doherty), Scotland and Glenvar
The death has occurred of Ellen Green (née Doherty), formerly of Ballinacraig, Glenvar, and Cathkin, Rutherglen, Scotland.
She passed away peacefully at 3 Bridges Care Home, Glasgow on Monday, September 8 2025, in her 103rd year.
Beloved Wife to the late Patrick and predeceased by her son Denis and daughter Frances.
Greatly missed by her loving family; daughters Una (Gallagher) and Sheila (Loughlin), sons John, Joe, Tony, sons and daughters in law and partners; adored grandchildren Katie, Sarah, Liam, Megan, David, Fiona, Colette, Martin, Kevin and Emma, great grandchildren Isla, Orla, Iona, Margot and Matthew; nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Ellen’s remains will be received into St Anthony’s RC Church Mar Gardens, Rutherglen, Glasgow G73 5JE, on Thursday, September 25 at 6.30pm. Her Funeral Mass will take place on Friday 26th September at 9.30am, and thereafter to the Linn Cemetery for 11am. Family flowers only please. Bernard Dowds, Ballybofey
The death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny, of Bernard Dowds, Glenfin Street, Ballybofey, F93 F2A3.
Beloved son of the late Maurice and Kathleen, much-loved brother to Marie, Patricia, Aine, Mairead, and Rena.
Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his sisters, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, extended family, and friends.
Remains reposing at his late residence on Friday, September 19 from 2 pm to 9pm, and Saturday, September 20 from 12pm until 4pm.
Removal at 4.30pm tomorrow, Saturday, September 20 to arrive at the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, at 5pm to repose overnight.
Requiem mass on Sunday morning, September 21 at 11am. Interment in Stranorlar cemetery.
The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the parish webcam.
Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, directly to the Donegal Hospice or care of any family member.

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Vera Mc Elhinney (née Canning), Market Street, Rathmullan, F92 N2F8.
Deeply regretted by her loving family, Mark, Luke, Ruth, Brian, Judith and Enda, sons-in-law Andrew and Padraig, daughters-in-law Lizzie and Rebecca, grandchildren John, Ronan, Mary, Úna, Grace, Conal, Luke, Jude and Owen, sister Nora Dunne, brother John, sister-in-law Freda, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Predeceased by her husband John, brother James and sisters Madge, Sheila, Philomena, Sophie, Mary and Kathleen.
