The following deaths have taken place:

Seamus Doherty, Derrybeg and Gweedore

The peaceful death has taken place at his home of Seamus Doherty, Lunniagh, Derrybeg, originally of Corveen, Gweedore.

Predeceased by Mick and Bella Doherty, brother Michael and sister Bernadette.

Sadly missed by his wife Doris, daughter Deirdre, son Stephen, sons in-law Frank and Phil, sisters Annie and Eileen and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) on Sunday, March 16 from 2pm to 8pm and on  Monday, March 17 from 3pm to 8pm. Rosary nightly at 8pm. Family home is strictly private please.

Funeral Mass will take place in St Mary’s Church, Derrybeg on Tuesday, March 18 at 11am, interment afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to the Donegal Hospice c/o any family member or Kieran Roarty Funeral Director.

Raymond Wray, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Raymond Wray, The Heneys, Donegal Town. He passed away peacefully at Donegal Community Hospital.

Remains arriving at Christ Church Lough Eske Sunday, March 16 at 7.30pm.

Removal from Christ Church Lough Eske Tuesday, March 18 at 1.30pm to Donegal Presbyterian Church for funeral service at 2pm followed by burial in the Glebe Cemetery, Donegal Town.

Pearse Mc Garrigle, Donegal Town and USA

The death has occurred of Pearse Mc Garrigle, Nevada, USA and formerly Castle Street and Drumcliffe, Donegal Town.

Predeceased by his parents Joe and Anna and his brother Ciaran, he is sadly missed by his loving family, sister Geraldine, brother-in-law Dan, brother James and sister-in-law Marie and dear nephew Jamie, relatives and friends.

Jenna Shovlin, Portnoo and USA

The sudden death has occurred in Manhattan, New York, of Jenna Shovlin, The Rock, Clogher West, Portnoo.

Jenna will be sadly missed by her heartbroken parents, Frankie and Kathleen, brothers Christopher (Tanya), Keith (Hannah), nieces Lilly and Jodie, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Jenna's remains will repose at the family home F94 N6C2 from Tuesday at 12 noon with Rosary nightly at 9pm. A shuttle bus service will be in operation, from the Dolmen Centre Kilclooney, for the traffic from Ardara direction and Narin Beach car park for the traffic from Glenties direction to the wake house from 5pm daily.

Removal on Friday to St Conals Church, Kilclooney for funeral Mass at 12 noon. Internment will take place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Mass will be streamed live on the McCabes funeral directors Facebook page.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to Kevin Bell repatriation fund and The Charlie Bennett Fund care of any family member or McCabe funeral directors.

Anthony John Dick, Galway, Killybegs and USA

The death has taken place after a short illness of Anthony John Dick, Forramoyle West, Barna, Galway, and formerly of Killybegs and Alaska.

John will be sorely missed by his devoted family; Florence, Andrew and Veronica, daughter-in-law Erika, son-in-law Killian, adoring grandchildren Louis, Charlie, Charlotte and Jack, siblings Valerie, Fiona, Gerald, Vivienne and Adrian, nieces, nephews, neighbours and his wide circle of friends both here and abroad. He is predeceased by his daughter Sarah, sister Cathy, parents Veronica and Herbert, recently by his sister-in-law Mary Crisham and by his brothers-in-law Johnny and Maurice.

House private please. John's remains will Repose in the Cillín within the Church of Mary Immaculate Queen, Bearna on Monday from 4pm to 5.30pm. 

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for John on arrival at the Church of Mary Immaculate Queen, Bearna at 11am on Tuesday. Mass can be viewed live here. 

A Committal Service will take place at 4pm at Shannon Crematorium. John’s family would like those attending the funeral to wear colourful clothes to celebrate his life.

Sadie Sweeney, Glenties and Ardara

The peaceful death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny of Sadie Sweeney, née Brennan, Drumnasillagh, Glen Road, Glenties and Main Street, Glenties, and formerly Crucknagapple, Ardara.

Predeceased by her husband Danny, son James and daughter Eileen , and sons-in-law Cormac and Tony. She is deeply regretted by her daughters Claire (James), Christine, Bernadette (Tim), Caroline (Mick), sons Frank, Danny (Elaine), Terence (Tina), brother Sean (Ardara), sisters Kathleen (Kilclooney) and Eileen (Bruckless), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Sadie’s remains will repose at Glen Road, Glenties (F94YF83), from 6pm until 10pm on Saturday, and on Sunday from 10am until 10pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Monday afternoon at 1pm in St Connell’s Church, Glenties with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/glenties.
