Pat McDaid, Manorcunningham

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital on Thursday, August 29 of Pat McDaid, 24 Abbey Park, Manorcunningham F92 KP92.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Lorraine, sisters Annemarie and Maureen, brothers Hugh, William and Barry, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Pat is predeceased by his parents Mary and Pat, brothers Sean, Christopher and Michael and his sister Audrey.

Pat’s remains will repose at his late residence on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 from 2pm until 10pm.

Funeral from there on Monday, September 2 at 10.15am going to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed live here followed by private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to the Intensive Care Unit, Letterkenny University Hospital c/o any family member.

Roy Davison, Glengad

The peaceful death has taken place at Carndonagh Community Hospital of Roy Davison, Glentoskert, Glengad F93 W8X8. Predeceased by his daughter Melissa. Beloved husband of Liz and much-loved father of Amanda, Andrew and Kelli. A devoted grandfather to all his grandchildren, Roy, Annie, Thomas, Lee, Jack, Andrew and Laura. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Arlene, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Roy's remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin's Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh, F93 E4FN on Friday, August 30 at 4pm going to his home. Funeral from there on Sunday, September 1 at 2.15pm for 3pm Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, Lagg, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Packie Doherty, Culdaff

The peaceful death has taken place at The Donegal Hospice of Packie Doherty (Packie in Eugenes), Leiter, Culdaff.

Beloved brother of Kathleen Boyle, Quigley's Point. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Packie’s remains will repose at the home of his sister, Kathleen Boyle, Quigleys Point, F93 C9X5,  from 7pm on Thursday, August 29. Family time from 11pm to 11am.

Funeral from there on Sunday, September 1 at 9.30am for 10.30pm funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Aughaclay, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael Joseph Gallagher, Downings

The peaceful death has taken place, surrounded by his loving family, of Michael Joseph Gallagher, Gortnaluchoge, Downings.

Reposing at his late residence. Michael is predeceased by his wife Kathleen (2017), and survived by his daughter Maureen Carr (Michael), sons Brian (Eileen), Paul (Noelle), Michael, daughter Kathleen Herraghty (Michael), and son Sean.

Funeral from his late residence on Saturday, August 31, going to the Church of St John the Baptist, Carrigart for requiem Mass at 11amwith internment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Elizabeth Cave, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Elizabeth Cave (née Coburn), St. Ernan’s, Donegal Town. Treasured mother of Sarah (Bob), Vera (Mike), Rachel (Tony) and Richard (Louise). Predeceased by her husband Stephen and brother John.

Deeply missed by her sisters Marion Burgess and Eleanor Hort and brother James Coburn, nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. House strictly private at all times please. Funeral arrangements later.

Plunkett Duffy, Fahan

The peaceful death has occurred at his residence of Plunkett Duffy, Lisfannon, Fahan. Predeceased by his parents Philip and Mary-Ellen, his brothers George, Jimmy and his sisters Margaret and Jean. Plunkett will be sadly missed by his brothers Pat, Liam, Francis, his sister Mary Kemmy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, wider family circle and large circle of friends.
Plunkett's remains will be reposing at his brother Liam and sister-in-law Patricia's home Lisfannon, Fahan on Thursday,  August 29 and Friday, August 30 from 11am to 11pm both days where you are welcome to pay your respect.

Removal on Saturday, August 31 at 10.15am to St Mary's Church, Cockhill for requiem mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard. Family time please on the morning of the funeral. Requiem mass can be viewed live here.

Madge Duffy, Gortahork

The sudden death has occurred at her home of Madge Duffy Derryconnor, Gortahork. Predeceased by her parents John and Madge, her sisters Mary, Biddy, Katherine, Frances, her brothers Charlie, Peter, James and John. Survived by her husband Jim, daughter Maeve, son James, sisters Bernie, Annie and Oonagh.

Her remains will repose at Gortahork Funeral Premises F92 Ft7c on Wednesday, August 28 from 2pm to 8pm with Rosary at 8pm and on Thursday, August 29 from 2pm till 6.45pm with removal to Christ the King, Gortahork for Rosary and to repose overnight, Funeral mass on Friday, August 30 for 11am requiem mass with burial afterwards in the adjacent Cemetery. Ann McGlinchey, Newtowncunningham

The death has taken place of Ann McGlinchey (Née Mc Collum), Leitrim, Bogay, Newtowncunningham, F93 R2HH.

She passed away peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by brother John Mc Collum, sister Mary Patton grandsons James and Michael McGinchey and Barry Gallagher. Loving wife of Fintan.

Mother and mother-in-law to Mary (Shaun), James (Marion), Jacqueline (Damian), Desmond (Claire), Terry (John) & Dawn (Myles).

Fondly remembered by her 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Desmond McCollum Scotland, extended family members, neighbours and many friends. Ann’s remains are reposing at her late residence.

Funeral from there on Friday morning for Requiem Mass in All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham, 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

The peaceful death has taken place at The Donegal Hospice of Pat McClean, Carrowmore, Malin, F93 T978.

Beloved Brother of Grace Jordan (Patsy) and James Anthony (Nuala).

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his Nieces, Mary, Margaret, Mary, and Grainne, his Nephews, Patrick and Mark, the wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Pat’s remains’ will leave Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh. F93 E4FN on Wednesday, August 28 at 5pm going to his home. Family time from 11pm to 10am.

Funeral from there on Friday morning at 10.15am for 11am Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Lagg, followed by burial in Lagg Graveyard.
