Elizabeth Carr, Dublin and Fanad#
The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Dot) Carr née Berns, Cabinteely, Co. Dublin and Fanad, Co Donegal.
She passed away peacefully in Blackrock Hospice, on August 23, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased recently by her husband of 67 years Barney Carr (28/06/2024) and by her son Seán (05/04/2014).
Deeply regretted by her sons Paddy and Eilis (Roestown, Ardee), Brian and Elaine (Shankill) and her daughters Mary and Martin Costello (Knocklyon), Carol (Kilmainham) and Elish and Colin Kelly (Stepaside) and her brother Ger, sisters Laura, Kathleen and Mary.
Sadly missed by her adored grandchildren Kate, Dermot (Sofia) and Maeve, Daniel (Lorraine), Evelyn (Daniel) & Robert, Shane and Ciaran (Megan) and her great-grandchildren Murphy and Lenny, Lois and Alice, and CJ, together with her extended family, neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at her late residence at 1a Wooldands Road, Cabinteely, from 3pm to 8pm on Monday, August 26.
Removal from there at 9.15am on Tuesday, August 27, going to St. Brigid's Church, Cabinteely for 10am for Requiem Mass.

Dot's remains will then travel to St Mary's Church, Fanavolty, Fanad, Co. Donegal, arriving at 8pm, to repose overnight.
Interment will take place in the adjoining graveyard after 10am Mass on Wednesday, August 28.

John McCartney, St Johnston and Moville
The death has taken place at his home of John McCartney, 17 Cois Aoibhean, St Johnston and formerly of Moville.
Much loved father of Roisin (Paul), John Paul (Audrey), Breidge (Dean), Patricia (Shane) and the late Patrick and Geraldine, dearly loved son of Roisin and the late Patrick McCartney, brother of Mary Ann, Patrick, Eileen, Michael, Jennifer and the late Rose and Caroline and former husband of Bridget.
Reposing at his home on Sunday, August 25 from 12 noon.
Funeral leaving his home on Tuesday, August 27 at 10.20am for Requiem Mass in St Baithin’s Church, St, Johnston at 11am
Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Rose Douglas, Dublin and Bunbeg
The death has occurred of Rose Douglas (née Sweeney) Terenure, Dublin, formerly of Bunbeg and late of The Assumption Junior National School Walkinstown.Beloved wife of the late Peter and dear mother of Jim, Paul, Mary and Lucy.
Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, brother Danny, sister Bridget, sons-in-law Marco and Dave, daughters-in-law Tina and Marguerite, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing on Monday from 4pm to 7pm at the Ramon Massey & Son Funeral Home, 78 Walkinstown Road, D12 PWK0, (opposite Supervalu). Removal on Tuesday to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Greenhills arriving for 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Bohernabreena Cemetery. Connie McFadden, Falcarragh
The peaceful death has taken place at The Donegal Hospice, surrounded by his family of Connie McFadden, Derryreel, Falcarragh. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, daughters; Fiona and Teresa, sons; Ciaran and Con, sons-in-law; Eamonn Roarty and Michael Lynch, daughter-in-law; Louise, grandchildren; Conor, Pauric, Olivia, Ella, Emily, Corey, Odhrán and Éadoin, sisters; Sadie McGinley, Grace Coll and Evelyn McConnell, brothers-in-law; Fintan and Peter and extended family, neighbours and friends.
His remains will repose at his late residence on Saturday, August 24 from 11am until after the rosary and on Sunday. Rosary nightly at 9pm. House private after the rosary and on the morning of the funeral.
Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, August 26 at 12pm in Holy Cross Chapel, Dunfanaghy with interment afterwards in Falcarragh Cemetery.

The death has taken place surrounded by her loving family at Letterkenny University Hospital of Kathleen Tinney (née Farrell), Ardnaglass, Ballindrait, Lifford and formerly of Craigna Road, Kenaghan, Strabane.
Beloved wife of the late Sean, much loved mother of Rosemarie, Patricia, Tina, Andrew, Damien, Fergal, Paula, Karole and the late baby Martina and sister of the late Willie, Denis, Mary Ellen, Rosaleen, Packie, Peter and Pat.
Reposing at her home on Saturday, August 24 from 2pm. Family time please from 10pm to 11am.
Funeral leaving her home on Monday, August 26 at 11.20am for Requiem Mass in St Columba`s Church, Doneyloop at 12 noon.

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Jim Harris, Coachmills, Cullion Road, Letterkenny.
Deeply missed by his loving brother William and wife Frances, sister Evelyn McKinley and husband Cecil, nephews Geoffrey and Wesley, nieces Lorna and Alyson and extended family, friends and neighbours.
Jim is predeceased by his parents Peter and Dorothy. Reposing at his brother William’s residence at Coachmills, Cullion Road, Letterkenny F92 WY62 on Saturday, August 24 from 3pm until 9pm.

Vincent Bourke, Ballybofey and Mayo
The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of retired member of An Garda Síochana Vincent Bourke, Donegal Road, Ballybofey. and formerly Straide, County Mayo.
Much loved father of Ciarán, Niamh (Steve), Daireen (Steve) Declan (Karen), cherished brother of Kathleen, Angela, Frances, Paddy, Celine and the late Tom and Mary; deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons, daughters, Majella, brother, sisters, grandchildren Dáire, Rian, Eabha, Fiadh, Oisin, Evan, Amelia, and Croia, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
His remains are reposing at McCool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey on Friday and Saturday from 6 pm until rosary at 9pm,

Mickey Shiels, Fanad
The death has taken place peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family, of Michael (Mickey) Shiels, Ballylar, Fanad.
Predeceased by his son Patrick (2014), he is deeply regretted by his wife Sheila, sons Michael and Brian, daughter Kathleen, daughters-in-law Mary, Pauline, and Collette and his son-in-law Alan and sadly missed by his adored granddaughters Lauren, Aideen, Aoife, Caitlin, Eimear, Niamh and Aisling, his extended family, neighbours and many friends.
Mickey's remains will repose at his late residence from 12 noon on Friday. Rosary at 9pm on both nights of the wake.
Requiem Mass will be held at 2pm on Sunday in St Mary's Church, Fanavolty with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live on the Mc Ateer Funeral Directors facebook page.
