Bridie Byrne, Ardara
The death has taken place of Bridie Byrne (nee Sweeney), Main Street, Ardara and formerly Mulantiboyle, Glenties. She passed away peacefully in her 103rd year in the care of the wonderful staff of the Donegal Hospice surrounded by her loving family and dear Friends.
Predeceased by her sister Molly and husband Hugh.
Bridie will be hugely missed by her brother Danny, nephews Donal, Raymond and Brendan, nieces Mary, Bernadette and Patricia, extended family, Mary, Maureen and Frank her great nephews and nieces and all her friends in Ardara and Glenties.
Her remains will repose at Shovlins Funeral Home, Sandfield, Thursday, August 15 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and on Friday August 16 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
Funeral from there on Saturday morning, August 17 at 10:30am to The Church Of The Holy Family, Ardara for 11am requiem mass with burial afterwards in Glenties Cemetery.
Ann Kirby, Malin Head
The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Ann Kirby, Carnmalin, Malin Head, F93 Y4EF
Predeceased by her husband Liam and son Jerry.
Much loved Mother of Deirdre (Joe), Jim (Ronnie), Desmond (Kathy), Ann Marie and Aidan (Leanne) and a devoted Granny to all her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her Daughter in Law, Breege Kirby, Sisters in Law, Mary Brady and Sheila Griffin, her wider family circle, friends and neighbours.
Ann’s remains will leave The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny on Thursday, August 15 at 7pm going to her home.
Funeral from there at 12.30pm on Sunday, August 18 for 1pm Funeral Mass in Star of the Sea Church, Malin Head, followed by burial in Lagg Graveyard. Family time from 11pm to 11am
Frank Laird, Raphoe
The peaceful death has taken place at his home of Frank Laird, Carnone, Raphoe (F93T8N7).
Predeceased by his son William and granddaughter Michelle.
He will be loved and remembered always by his wife Claire, daughters Cheryl (Philip), Sylvia (Cecil), Jean (Ephaim), grandchildren Rhonda (John), Jason, Stacey, Clara, Mia, Elisha and Zoe. Frank will be sadly missed by his brothers, sisters and wider family circle.
Remains reposing at his home from 5pm on Wednesday, August 14.
Funeral leaving from there on Friday, August 16 at 1.30pm for 2pm funeral service in St Eunan’s Cathedral Raphoe followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Charlie Glackin, Dungloe
The death has taken place in Dungloe Community Hospital of Charlie Glackin, Marameelan, Dungloe.
His remains will repose in McGlynn's Funeral Home Dungloe on Wednesday, August 14 from 5pm with Rosary at 8pm and Thursday, August 15 from 2pm until removal at 5.30pm to St Patrick's Church Meenacross for 6pm to repose overnight.
Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am with interment in Maghery cemetery.
Michael Coll, Kerrykeel
The death has occured of Michael Coll, Gortnatra, Kerrykeel. He passed away peacefully, in Glasgow.
Deeply regretted by his wife Maureen, brothers Liam, Brendan, and Eamonn, sisters Geraldine (Boyle), and Judith Ann. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Kerrykeel on Friday, August 16 at 11am followed by interment in the family grave at Massmount, Fanad.
Sinead Fisher, Ramelton
The peaceful death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice surrounded by her loving family and friends of Sinead Fisher, 31 Coylin Court, Ramelton, F92 FN27.
Predeceased by her mother Kathleen. Sadly missed by her father Noel, sister Fiona, niece Zara, nephew Cian, cousin Sharon, friend Lisa, uncle Gilbert and Pauline, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and her many friends.
Removal from the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, F92 XE35 on Wednesday, August 14 at 3pm going to her home. Family time on the morning of the funeral.
Wake at her home from 6pm until 10pm on Wednesday, August 14 and from 11am until 10pm on Thursday, August 15.
Requiem mass on Friday, August 16 at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton.
Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

James Hunter, Creeslough
The sudden death took place in London on August 5 2024 of James Hunter, late of 55 Massinass, Creeslough, Co Donegal.
Funeral Mass will take place in London on August 27 2024 followed by cremation.
James will be sadly missed by his family and friends in Donegal and the UK.
Liam Morrow, Glenties
The death has occurred in the presence of his loving family and in the care of the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital of Liam Morrow, Kilraine, Glenties. Predeceased by his parents Danny and Bridget.
Liam will be sadly missed by his wife Ann, sisters Antoinette and Kathleen Anne, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces Caitríona and Àine, nephews Dermot and Colm, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.
Liam’s remains will repose at his residence in Kilraine on Wednesday, August 14 from 12 noon.
Removal on Friday, August 16 to St Connell's Church, Glenties, for funeral mass at 10am with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed live here.
Kathleen Doherty, Letterkenny
The peaceful death has taken place at Archview Lodge Nursing Home, Drumany, Letterkenny on Tuesday, August 13 of Kathleen Doherty, née McCrory, 7 Ard Colmcille, Letterkenny, F92 D6KP.
Sadly missed by her loving daughter Philomena Gildea and husband Laurence (Correnagh, Letterkenny), son Ciaran and wife Mary (Lisnennan Court, Letterkenny), sisters Bridie McNulty, Susie Roarty and Patricia Binks, brother John McCrory (Strabane), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Kathleen is predeceased by her husband Liam (2022).
Kathleen’s remains will be reposing at her late residence at 7 Ard Colmcille on Wednesday, August 14from 4pm until 10pm and Thursday, August 15 from 12noon until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm.

The peaceful death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of June Dorrian, 8 Manderley House, Larkin’s Lane, Lower Main Street Letterkenny.
Sadly missed by her loving family, Gavin and Breid, Paul and Lisa, Omar and Jody, Nazar and Crimzion, mother Delia Dorrian, grandchildren, brothers Seamus, PJ, Barry and Shane, sisters Breena, Tara and Paula, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her father Seamus.
Reposing at the residence of her son Gavin and Breid Curran, 17 Glendale Drive, Glencar, on Wednesday, August 14 from 3pm until 10pm and on Thursday, August 15 from 11am until 10pm. House private to family and friends at the request of the deceased.

The sudden death has occurred of Keith Bates, Dundrain, Burnfoot F93KX34.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Clare, son Alan (Charlene) and daughters Georgina (Jason), Tegan, Jadyn, Keisha and Rionagh. Grandchildren Mackenzie, Logan and Sophie.
He will be deeply regretted by his brothers, sisters and wider family circle. Keith is predeceased by his parents Sarah and Moses.
His remains will repose at his home from 2pm on Thursday, August 15. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday at 1.15pm for 2pm funeral service in Burt Presbyterian Church with burial afterwards in St Ninian’s Church graveyard Convoy (F93HR20). Thomas Doherty, Scotland and Stranorlar
The death has occurred at St Andrew's Hospice of Thomas Doherty, formerly of Drumboe Lower, Stranorlar, and late of Gilmourton, South Lanarkshire, Scotland.
Beloved husband of Lorna, father of son Callum and daughter Eilidh, son of Paddy and Toni Doherty, cherished brother of Gerard (Jacqueline), Elizabeth (Stephen), and Stephen (Katie). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by brother-in-law Scott, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, extended family, neighbours, work colleagues and friends.
Thomas’s remains are reposing at Strathaven Funeralcare, 54 Waterside St, Strathaven ML10 6AW on Tuesday, 20th August, from 4pm until 8pm. Funeral service will be at 10.00am on Wednesday, 21st August, at The Epicentre, Townhead St, Strathaven ML10 6DJ followed by burial at 12pm at Glebe Cemetery, Manse Rd, Stonehouse, Larkhall ML9, Manse Rd.
The family will gather at the Radstone Hotel, 3 Ayr Rd, Shawsburn, Larkhall ML9 2TZ after the burial. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.
