The following deaths have taken place:

Michael Foy, Cork and Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Michael Foy, Monkstown, Cork and Ballybofey. He passed away peacefully, in the presence of his loving family and in the tender care of the staff at the Bon Secours Hospital. Beloved husband of Anna (née O’Sullivan, Adrigole), loving father of Annette, Hugh, John, Eilish, Niall, Sinead, Laura and Liam and dear brother of Hugh, Sr Ann and the late John Joe, Maura, Tony and Liam.

Sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Fordes Funeral Home, Old Waterpark, Carrigaline on Friday, August 2 from 5pm until 6pm.

Requiem Mass on Saturday, August 3 at 11am in the Sacred Heart Church, Monkstown which will be streamed live here. Funeral afterwards to St Mary’s Cemetery, Passage West.

Margaret McGinley, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Margaret McGinley, née Doherty (Banker), retired nurse, Magheranan, Letterkenny F92 REP2, formerly of Oughterlin, Rathmullan.

Predeceased by her brother Thomas. Very sadly missed by her family, daughters Yvonne ( Gabriel) Bundoran, Laura Jane (Mark) Garristown, Co Dublin, sons Edward and William (Letterkenny), grandchildren Eloise, Torin, Raiden, Seán, Davin, Oran and Niall. Brothers John, Hugh, Laurence, Philip, William and sister Caroline.

Reposing at her late residence on Thursday 1st August from 6pm to 9pm and Friday, August 2 from 2pm to 9pm with Rosary at 9pm on both nights. Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Saturday, August 3 in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine (F92 PN81), which can be viewed online at  followed by burial in Rathmullan Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if wished to the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital, c/o Paschal Blake, Funeral Director, Stoney Arch, New Line Road, Letterkenny.

Mary Boyle, Burtonport

The peaceful death has occurred of Mary Boyle nee Murray, the Bungalow, Burtonport. Predeceased by her husband Packin, her brothers James, Padraig, Leo & Cathal and her sister Kathleen Ferry.
Sadly missed by her loving daughters Mary Boyle & Nora Mc Cready (Ennis) Donegal Town, her Grandson Patrick and her sister Margaret Murray.
Her remains will repose at Mc Glynns Funeral Home Dungloe on Thursday from 3pm with Rosary at 8pm followed by removal to her home in Burtonport (F94 X0 N2)
Wake on Friday from 1pm to 9pm . House private on the morning of the funeral except for family and neighbours.

Martin Quinn, Buncrana

The sudden death has taken place of Martin Quinn, Meenagorey, Buncrana. Martin’s remains will repose at his late residence from 12 noon on Friday August 2. House Private Please from 11pm to 11am.
Funeral from there at 10am on Sunday August 4, going to St Mary’s Church Cockhill for 11am Funeral Mass with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Norman McLucas, Quigley’s Point

The death has taken place of Norman McLucas, Cabry, Quigley’s Point, peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Beloved son of the late William John and Adaline, loving brother of Bertie and the late Jeannie, Daisy, William, David, Ina and Hugh and a much-loved brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle.

Funeral service will take place in Greenbank Presbyterian Church on Friday, August 2 at 2 pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining burying ground.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Greenbank Presbyterian Church C/o Mrs Sylvia McConn, Windyhill, Three Trees, Quigley’s Point, Co Donegal.

William Hubert Duncan, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of William Hubert (Bert) Duncan, Drumgorman Barr, Mountcharles, Donegal, F94 FD45. He passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital, following a long illness. Deeply missed by his loving wife Carol, his sons Stephen (Cathrena) and Nigel (Dymphna), daughters Laura (Michael) and Sandra (David), grandchildren Adam, Ava, Anaelle, Alex, Brian, Kyle, Finn, Freya, Robyn, Lauren, Georgia & Molly, great-grandchild Paige, brother David, sisters Audrey, Pearl & Lorna, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his brother Alan and sister Mervyl.
Removal from Gallaghers Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles Wednesday, August 31 at 4pm, going to his late residence to repose until 9.30pm and to repose on Thursday, August 1 from 2pm until 9.30pm. House private at all other times, please. Removal from his late residence on Friday, August 2 going to the Church of Ireland, Mountcharles for funeral service at 2pm, with burial afterwards in St Johns Churchyard, Inver. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to Letterkenny University Hospital Cancer Care Unit.
There will be a one way system in operation at the wake; entry via Kellys Garage/Stonepark and exit at Drumconnor. Please follow the signs.

Bernie McGowan, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Bernie McGowan, Cashelard, Ballyshannon. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her mother Vera and her father Richard Shortall. She is the beloved wife of Hughie and adored mother of Ben and Enya.
Bernie will be greatly missed by her sisters Sinead (Martin), Joan (John), Mary (George), and her brother Raymond (Rita), her brother-in-law John and sister-in-law Bridie (Johnny), as well as her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Bernie's remains will be going to Lakelands Crematorium in Cavan on Friday, August 2 at 12noon for private funeral service, followed by cremation. The house will remain strictly private at all times please in respect of Bernie’s wishes. All enquiries to John McGee & Sons Funeral Home on 087 2218483.

Carmel Healy, Dublin and Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Carmel Healy (née Coyle), Killester, Dublin and formerly of Letterkenny. She passed on July 28 peacefully in the care of the staff of Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Sybil Hill, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husband John, very sadly missed by her sister Bernadette, her nieces Madeline, Deirdre and Veronica and nephew John, sadly missed by all her relatives and friends.
Carmel will be reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Springdale Road, Raheny on Thursday, August 1 from 3pm to 4.30pm then removal to St Brigid’s Church, Killester for 5.00pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, August 2 at St Brigid’s Church, Killester at 10am followed by burial in St Fintan's Cemetery, Sutton. The funeral Mass can be viewed live here.

Bridget Doherty,  Manchester, England and Ballyliffin

The death has occurred in Manchester, England of Bridget Doherty (nee Mc Laughlin) and formerly of Ballyliffin, Clonmany.

Wife of the late Denis Doherty and much-loved mother of Ann, Claire and Mark, sadly missed by her sister Angela brother Peter, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and the wider family circle.

Her remains will be reposing at the family home in Ballylifin on Thursday, August 1 from 12 midday.

Funeral from there on Friday morning at 10:45am going to the Oratory, Ballylifin for Requiem Mass at 11am with interment immediately afterwards in the old graveyard, Clonmany.
