Mary Reilly, Letterkenny

The death has taken place in the Letterkenny University Hospital of Mary Reilly, née Lafferty, and formerly of Castlefin Ashbrook, Letterkenny.

Beloved wife of Louie, cherished mother of Alan, Kevin and Norena, loving granny to Finn and dear mother-in-law to Eileen. Sadly missed by her sisters Noreen, Catherine, Geraldine and brother Michael and all extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Jim and Nora and brothers John and Seamus.

Funeral mass on Saturday at 1pm in St Eunans Cathedral, Letterkenny with burial afterwards in Castlefin Cemetery. Mass can be viewed at www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny

Jim Larkin, Letterkenny and London

The death of Jim (James) Larkin, Shepherds Bush, London, formerly of Lower Main Street, Letterkenny. Jim passed away peacefully at home with his loving children present, after an extended period of poor health.

Adored father to Caroline, Amanda and Alan and grandfather to Erin, Lea and Chloe; much loved by Nath, Gavin and Damian and siblings Jack Larkin and wife Marian, Elsie Cavalli, Terry Larkin, Adrian Larkin, Kevin Larkin, Louie Breslin and husband Barney, Joan McGettigan and husband John, and Brendan Larkin.

Jim will be sadly missed by his in-laws Gerry and Chrissie Kenny, Vera and Phil Dapas and Rita Dolan, godchildren Jenny MacDonald and Paul James, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours. He is predeceased by his loving wife Laura, his beloved parents Mary Ellen and Jack, siblings Frances Larkin, Dorothy Scudi, Billy Larkin, Celie Whitmore, Al Larkin and Sr Marian Larkin.

Jim will repose in Barnes and Hicks, 123 Askew Road, Shepherds Bush, London, W12 9AU on Thursday, July 25 from 1pm till 3pm. Removal to the Holy Ghost and St Stephen Church, Ashchurch Grove, London, W12 9BU at 10.45am with Requiem Mass at 11am on Friday, July 26. Burial will take afterwards at Mortlake Cemetery, Clifford Avenue, London, SW14 7BU.

Anthony Devlin, Buncrana

The sudden death has occurred of Anthony Devlin, Dun Na Ri Slavery, Buncrana.

Anthony will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his loving fiancé Grainne, his cherished sons Joe and Odhran, his loving parents Philip and Una, his sisters Tara, Tina, Leanne, brother-in-law Ian, his granny Annie Devlin, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and his many friends and the wider family circle.

Anthony’s remains are reposing at his parents Philip and Una's home Sarida, Ballymagan, Buncrana. People are welome to pay their respects from 11am on Thursday. Family Time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral. 

Funeral from the family home at 10am on Saturday going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for 11 am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/cockhill

Alwyn Quinn, Convoy

The peaceful death has taken place at his home of Alwyn Quinn, West End, Convoy, F93Y9DC.

Dearly loved husband of Gladys, loving father of Karen (Allyn), Rachel (Gary) and John (Claire), cherished grandfather of Rebecca, James, Adam and Leo.

His remains will repose at his late residence. Family time please from 10pm to 12am and on the morning of the funeral. 

Funeral leaving from there on Friday at 1.45pm for 2pm funeral service in St Ninian’s Church Convoy, followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Crumlin children’s hospital care of any family member or Terence Mcclintock funeral director.

Hughie Travers, Donegal Town

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Hughie Travers (Big Hughie), Millbrook, Donegal Town.

Loving husband of the late Maureen, née Crossan, father to Paula, Joanne and Edel and grandfather to Tara, Shay, Leo, Sean and Eoin, brother to Michael (Australia). Sadly missed and forever loved by his daughters, brother, and sons-in-law, grand-children and entire family circle.

Reposal of his remains continues at his home F94W8P9 with visitation on Thursday 4pm to 9pm. House private on Friday morning please.

Requiem Mass at St Agatha’s Church in Clar on Friday morning 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

John McMenamin, Castlefin and London

The death has occurred zuddenly at his home in London,of John Mc Menamin, formerly of Egeltybane, Castlefin

Cherished son of the late William John and Mary, loving brother of Seamus, Michael, Lizzie, Anne and the late Mary T, Bernie and Liam. Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing brothers, sisters, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and entire family circle.

Removal from Lynch's Funeral Home on Thursday at 11am via Killeter Road, Moneygal Road, Egaltybane and Raws Crossroads for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in St Mary’s Church, Castlefin. Cremation will take place afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan with Service at 4pm. The Mass can be viewed via the parish webcam. 

Mary Durning, Ramelton

The death has taken place suddenly at her home, of Mary Durning, Newmill, Ramelton.

Predeceased by her parents Joe and Mary and her sisters Susan and Tina; deeply regretted by her loving sisters and brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mary will be sadly missed by Brendan (Castlefin), Sara (Ramelton), Bernie (Letterkenny), Patrick (Creeslough), Anne (Sydney), Josephine (Meath), Veronica (Ramelton), Nuala (Clare) and Paul (Ramelton).

Her remains reposed overnight at St Mary’s Church, Ramelton.

Dorothy O'Boyle, Louth and Mountcharles

The death has taken place of Dorothy O'Boyle, Blackrock, County Louth and formerly of Mountcharles. She passed away in the wonderful care of the staff at St Gabriel’s Nursing Home, Raheny.

Predeceased by her siblings Cabrini (Dunne), Joseph and Sean, she is very sadly missed by her sisters Maura (Ronan) and Frances (O’Shea), brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Marie Higgins, Greencastle

The death has taken place peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, of Marie Higgins, Viewfort, Balleeghan, Greencastle and formerly of Dungannon, County Tyrone.

Predeceased by her husband Frank and brothers Pat and Fr John; loving Mother to Joe (Siobhan), Irene (Mark), Eamon (Ann), James (Catherine) and Patricia (Seamus). Sadly missed by her sisters Margaret and Irene, grandchildren, great grandchild and wider family circle.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence. Family time from 9pm to 11am.

Removal at 9.30am on Thursday for 10am Mass in Saint Pius X Church, Moville, followed by interment afterwards at St Malachy's Cemetery Edendork, arriving at approx 3.30pm. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.movilleparish.com

Dom Mc Gee, Fanad

The death has taken place peaefully at home of Dominic (Dom) McGee, Ballyheerin, Fanad and formerly Rossnakill, Fanad.

Predeceased by his parents Neil Joe and Gertrude, brother Niall Fiachre and his daughter Kerry; deeply regretted by his wife Bernie, his sons Darren and Siobhan (Ballyheerin), Dom and Rachael (Chicago), Cormac and Shanila (Perth), and Connor and Jacinta (Chicago), his brothers PJ (NY), Seán (Cavan), Ciarán (Waterford) and his sisters Deirdre Xavier (Dublin) and Máire Wallace (Clare). Sadly missed by his adored grandchildren Alexandria, Giulianna, Vivian, Naomi, Dominic Jnr, Rocco, Kiara, Connor, Arianna, Cormac, Fiona and Gavin, his extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Removal on Thursday at 11.30am going to St Mary’s Church, Fanavolty, Fanad for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial will take place afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live on the Mc Ateer Funeral Directors facebook page.
