Eddie Carr, Bundoran and Clonmany

The death has taken place suddenly and unexpectedly at his home, of Eddie Carr, Mountain View, West End, Bundoran, and formerly of Urris, Clonmany.

Eddie will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving family, wife Breedge, son Philip, daughters Aisling (Leon), Dervil (Ted) and Nicole (Colm), his beloved grandchildren Shanika, Holly, Danny, Cian, Callum and Emily, brothers James, Donald, Pat (Maree), Charlie (Rose), and Philip (Agnes), sister Delia (Gerry) and all his many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Daniel and Theresa Carr.

His remains are reposing at Breslin's Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran F94E92F on Friday from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday  from 4pm to 8pm.

Removal on Monday morning from the residence of his daughter Nicole, 7 Ellesmere Court, Dinglei Coush, West End, Bundoran at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in St Ninnidh's Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran. Eddie's Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.magheneparish.ie

As Eddie was a huge supporter of Donegal GAA, the Carr Family would be most grateful should you wish to wear the green and yellow colours on both the visitation at the funeral home and the Mass or along the route of the cortege on Monday.

Mary Gallagher, Letterkenny

The sudden death has occurred of Mary Gallagher, Gortlee, Letterkenny. 

Marys' remains will repose at Marleys Funeral Home, Derry Road, Drumany, Letterkenny, F92 FR1X on Saturday from 3.30pm until removal at 4.30pm to St Eunan's Catherdal, Letterkenny to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny.

Rita Gilmartin, Bundoran and Dalkey

The death has occurred of Rita Gilmartin, Dalkey, County Dublin and formerly of Bundoran. She passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of all at Our Lady's Hospice, Blackrock, Dublin.

Beloved sister of Nancy Kinsella, Bundoran and Una Daly, Dublin. She will be sadly missed by her dear sisters, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and all her relatives, neighbours and friends, especially all her friends and the staff of Sue Ryder Retirement Village, Dalkey. Predeceased by her parents and sisters Eilish, Marie and Nuala.

Her remains are reposing at Breslin's Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran F94E92F on Friday morning from 10.30am with removal at 11.40am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon. Ann Coyle, Buncrana

The death has taken place of Ann Coyle, née Mc Gowan, Droim Ard, Millfield, Buncrana.

Funeral arrangements will be confirmed later.

Annie Mulhern, Gleneely

The peaceful death has taken place at her home of Annie Mulhern, Aghaglasson, Gleneely.

Beloved wife of John and much loved mother of Rosemary, John, Danny and Neil. Deeply regretted by her sister Mary Ellen and brother Anthony. Sadly missed by her sons, daughter, sister, brother, her 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, extended family, close friends and neighbours.

Annie’s remains are reposing at her home. Family time please from 10pm until 11am.

Removal from there on Saturday at 2.30pm to Saint Mary’s Church, Bocan for Requiem Mass at 3pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Requiem Mass can be viewed live on http://www.culdaffparish.com/media.htmlFamily flowers only please.

Stanley Hammant, Creeslough and London

The death has taken place of Stanley Hammant, Magherablade, Creeslough and formerly London.

Beloved husband of Isobelle, wonderful father to daughters Sharon, Brenda and Natasha and son Quentin. Caring and dearly missed grandad to Sean, Jenny, Ella, Alfy, Zoe and Bodhi.

No wake, house private.

Memorial Service at the family home, F92A064 on Saturday at 1pm with burial afterwards in Doe Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to join the family for the Memorial Service and burial.

Margaret McMenamin, Castlefinn

The death has occurred of Margaret McMenamin, Doohan, Castlefin.

Her remains are reposing at her sister in law, Frances McMenamin’s residence, Carrick, Castlefinn, F93TX24. 

 Family time please from 11pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from there on Friday at 11.30am going to St Mary’s Church, Castlefin for Requiem Mass at 12noon followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Sarah Dornan, Glasgow and Annagry

The death has taken place of Sarah Dornan, née O’Donnell-Jimmy Sheámuis, of Glasgow, originally of Loch na nDeorán, Annagry.

Sarah’s remain will repose at her home Teach Jimmy Sheámuis inLoch na nDeorán, F94 Y2Y4 from 6pm Saturday evening, with Rosary nightly at 8pm. House private please on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 11am in St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, F94 K022, with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on Kieran Roarty Funeral Director’s Facebook Page.

Bobby Sayers, Falcarragh

The death has occurred in Letterkenny University Hospital of Bobby Sayers, Errarooey, Falcarragh.

Predeceased by his wife Geannie. Loved and sadly missed by his son David, daughters Irene, Isobel and Annemarie, nephew James, sisters May and Bella, daughter-in-law Valerie, sons-in-law Paddy, Trevor and Patrick, beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Nellie McFadden, Falcarragh

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Nellie McFadden, Ray, Falcarragh.

Predeceased by her husband Dan. Sadly missed by her son Daniel, daughter Eileen, son-in-law Stewart, grandson Jamie, sister Julie, nephew Joe and wife Susan, nephew Chick, is wife Helen and boys and extended family and friends.

Kathleen McLaughlin, Malin Head

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Kathleen McLaughlin, Dreenagh, Malin Head.

Beloved wife of John Anthony. Much loved mother of Roisin and Martin. Sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Tracey and son-in-law Joe, sisters Rose and Mary. Devoted grandmother of Emma, Aíne and Séan.

Kathleen’s remains are reposing at her home.

Funeral from there at 10.20am on Saturday for 11am Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Lagg followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard. Family time from 11pm to 2pm and on the morning of the Funeral.

Jimmy Bonner, Burtonport

The death has occurred of Jimmy Bonner Burtonport, F94 A6W2 after a long illness.

Sadly missed by his wife Margaret Rose, children Mary (Joe) Triona (Musa) Derek (Lorraine) and Sinead, his grandchildren Debbie, Nicole, Gemma, Ryan, Matthew, Sinatalahi, Tori, Alyiatt, Leon, Cassie and his great-grandchildren Caleb, Senan, Calian and Saorlaith, his two nephews Shane and Garrett and his cousins and extended family.

Wake at the family home on Friday from 11am with rosary at 9pm. House private on the morning of the funeral. 

Funeral service on Saturday at 11am in St Columba’s Church, Acres, Burtonport followed by interment in Belcruit Cemetery. Mass can be viewed on Kincasslagh Parish Facebook page.

Edmund Doherty, Clonmany

The death has occurred at his home of Edmund Doherty (Riley), Main Street, Clonmany, F93 N6C5.

Deeply regretted and sorely missed by his loving wife Ann, children Sharon, Yvonne, Edmund, Elaine and Emer, sons and daughters in law Tom, Patrick, Tracey, Brendan and Eddie, much loved and adored grandchildren Caolan, Amy, Matthew, David, Alana, Andrew, Conor, Emily, Ben, Thomas, Niamh and Noah, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Bridget, brother Denis and nephew Denis.

Letitia McDaid, Carndonagh

The peaceful death has occurred of Letitia (Lettie) McDaid Altashane, Carndonagh, at Carndonagh Community Hospital.

Predeceased by loving husband John. Much loved mother of Shaun, Bridget, Marjory, Rosemary, Teresa, Michael and Kay. Deeply regretted by her sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence, Altashane, F93F8C4.

Removal from there on Friday at 10.20am going to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh for requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Requiem Mass can be viewed live on the parish webcam.

John Coyle, Preston and Ballyarr

The death has taken place at the age of 73 of John Coyle, originally from Gortnavern, Ballyarr, then Preston UK. He passed paway suddenly following respiratory illness at Chorley Hospital, Lancashire on April 20. 

Deeply missed by partner Heather and sons Patrick, Jonathan and Simon. Cherished grandfather of Rosie, Hannah, Jude, Bonnie, Eve and Vincent. Sadly missed by aunts Nora and Veronica, sisters Valerie and Anna, along with cousins and many friends in the Donegal area.

Requiem Mass at St Oswald’s RC Church Longton Preston UK on Friday at 10.30am.

Family flowers, donations kindly received in John’s memory to St Catherine’s Hospice, Preston c/o the Funeral Director Mr Neal Buckley Preston.

Barry Mc Laughlin, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Barry Mc Laughlin of Luton, Bedfordshire, England and formerly of Clar, Donegal Town. Barry passed away suddenly on April 21 in the L&D Hospital, Luton.

Predeceased by his father James, he is sadly missed by his children, Chantelle and Danny, his mother Geraldine, sisters Siobhan (Eamonn) Arlene (Jay) and brothers Seamus and Sean (Melanie), nieces and nephews and extended family.

A memorial service has taken place in London.

Celebration of Life on Wednesday, May 29 from 10am to 10.30am at St Agatha's Church, Clar, Donegal Town can be viewed on the parish webstream.
