Willie Cannon, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place in the loving care of the staff of the Donegal Hospice of William (Willie) Cannon, 20, Beechwood Avenue, Letterkenny (F92 NWN2) formerly Crove, Carrick, retired member an Garda Síochána.

Predeceased by his wife Nora, brother John (Pettigo), sisters Mary Butler (Shrewsbury) and Kathleen Guidera (London). He is deeply regretted by his sons Declan, (New Jersey), Jerry (Rowanpark), Liam (Glenleary, Ramelton) and daughter Marie (Kilmacrennan), grandchildren Keelin, Conor, Albhe, Eimear, Adam, Eyrn and Mia, sisters Bridie Marron (London), Lena Woods (San Franciso), sister-in-law Anne (Pettigo), daughters-in-law Annette, Tracy and Brenda, in-laws, relatives and friends.

Reposal of his remainas continues at his late home from 12pm until 9pm on Saturday, with Rosary at 9pm. Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from there on Sunday, going to St Eunan’s Cathedral for 12 noon Funeral Mass which can be viewed live at https://www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed burial in Conwal Cemetery.

Lena Doran, Manorcunningham

The peaceful death has taken place on Friday, February 16 at Arch View Lodge Nursing Home, in her 100th year, of Lena Doran, Main Street, Manorcunningham.

Deeply missed by her nieces, extended family, friends and neighbours. 

Reposal of Lena’s remains will continue at her late residence on Saturday from 12noon until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Sunday at 12.15pm going to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham for 1pm Requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/newtowncunningham Interment will take place afterward in St Columba’s Church Cemetery, Drumoghill.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to St Columba's Church Drumoghill Restoration Fund.

Charlie Coyle, Clonmany

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Charlie Coyle, Isle of Doagh, Clonmany F93 HX99.

Beloved husband of Eileen, much loved father of Colm, Marion (predeceased) Kevin, Sorcha, John and Evelyn. Deeply regretted by his son in laws daughter in laws, grandchildren, great grandchild, sister , nieces, nephews and extended family members.

His remains are reposing at his late residence.

Funeral from there on Saturday morning at 9.40, going to St Marys Church Clonmany for Requiem Mat 10.30am with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Gráinne Edwards, Sligo and Carrigart

The death has taken of Gráinne Edwards (née McHugh), White Strand, Aylesbury Park, Sligo and late of Carrigart. She died peacefully surrounded by her family in the loving care of the staff at the Mater Hospital Dublin.

Dearly loved wife of Peter and mother of Yvette and Shivonne. Predeceased by her sister Sr Mary McHugh OSU. Sadly missed by her loving husband and family, brothers Mick, Martin and Joseph, sisters, Sr. Sarah McHugh OSU, Catherine Gunn and Mairéad Callaghan, sons-in-law Conor Heery and Seán Singh, grandchildren Aoife Marie and Julianne Heery, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Her remains are reposing privately at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo. Family home private.

John McGuire, Glencolmcille

The peaceful death has occurred of John Mc Guire, Cashel, Glencolmcille.

Beloved husband of Teresa and loving father of Andrew, Sean, Hugh, Martin, Ian, Jacinta, Eoin and Catherine. Cherished grandfather and Pappie, missed by his sons and daughters in-law. He is predeceased by his son Hugh, his father and mother Andy and Agnes, siblings Mary, Colm, Dinny and Nora.

Reposal of John's remains continues at his late residence, Cashel, Glencolmcille, F94 VC57, on Saturday from 11am to 9pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm. House private please on the morning of the funeral.

JJ Gallagher, Dublin and Dungloe

The death has occurred of John (JJ) Gallagher, Bancroft, Tallaght, Dublin 24, and formerly of Tully, Dungloe. He died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the care of the wonderful staff of Tallaght University Hospital.

Beloved husband of Eileen and dearly loved dad of John, Geraldine, Bernadette, Damian and Róisín; John will be forever loved and dearly missed by his wife and family, daughter-in-law Sinead, sons-in-law Tommy and Tony, his adored grandchildren Alana, Aleesha, Kayla, Éabha, and Áine, sisters Winnie, Briege, Rose, Margaret, Sheila and Ann, and brother Willie, his extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal on Saturday morning to St Mary’s Priory, Tallaght Village arriving for 11am Requiem Mass, with burial thereafter in Newland’s Cross Cemetery.

Donations if desired to Irish Lung Fibrosis Association.

Charlie Shields, Carrigart

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Charlie Shields (Tarry) High Glen, Carrigart.

Loving husband of Catherine and adored father of Elaine (Shane) Galway and Cathal High Glen; Charlie is predeaced by his brothers Patrick (London) Andy (Dooey) and Josie (Dublin). He is survived by his brother John (Ramelton), sisters Annie (London) Gracie (Carrigart) and Mary (Carrigart), grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family and friends.

Charlie's remains are reposing at his late residence.

Funeral from there on Saturday, going to the Church of St John the Baptist for Requiem Mass at 11 am followed by internment in the adjoining cemetery.

Caoimhe Kelly, Pettigo

The death has occurred of Caoimhe Kelly, Drumawark, Pettigo. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and her wonderful careers.

Dearly loved by her heart broken parents Kevin and Sharon, her brother Luke, her grandparents Willie and Bernie Kelly, Mary McGoldrick. Caoimhe is predeceased by her grandfather Packie and Uncle Sean McGoldrick. Sadly missed by all her aunts, uncles, cousins and her wider family circle.

Removal on Saturday morning to St Mary’s Church, Pettigo for 12 noon Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery, Lettercran.

Hughie O'Donnell, Mayo and formerly Kincasslagh

The death has occurred peacefully at Mayo University Hospital surrounded by his loving family, of Hughie O'Donnell of 34  Roches Terrace, Ballina, County Mayo and formerly of Braade, Kincasslagh. 

Hughie is predeceased by his wife Mamie, son Brian, his parents, brothers, and sisters. Beloved father of Frankie Ginty (Corrimbla South), Anne Reape (Knockmore), Padraic (Ballina). He will be sadly missed by his daughters and son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, son-in-law James Reape, daughter-in-law Pauline O’Donnell, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

His remains reposed overnight at St Patrick’s Church, Ballina.

Sadie Harkin, Fanad and Scotland

The death has occurred of Sadie Harkin of Rinboy, Fanad and Coatbridge, Scotland peacefully at Beaumont Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken partner Seán Din Friel, her loving sisters Margaret, Rose, Moira and Frances, her beloved brother Daniel, her niece Cara, her nephews Martin and Declan and her great-nephew Fionn.

Predeceased by her parents Con Harkin and Catherine (Duffy) Harkin and her nephew Kieran.

Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday at 11am in St Mary's Church, Fanavolty with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
