John Shiels, Carrickataskin, Gaoth Dobhair

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of John Shiels, Carrickataskin, Gweedore, originally of Derry. Predeceased by his wife Annie, son Donal (Bazil), sisters, Etta and Margaret and brothers, David and Liam. Sadly missed by his sister Molly, daughter-in-law Marie and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg, F92 DN4X, on Tuesday, January 9, from 4pm - 8pm. Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St. Mary's Church, Derrybeg, interment afterwards in Maghergallon Cemetery.

Annie Friel, née Mc Bride, Birmingham and Cotteen, Gaoth Dobhair

Cuirfear í i Reilig Mhachaire Gathlán Déardaoin, Eanair 11, i ndiadh Aifreann 11 a chlog i dTeach Pobail Mhuire, Na Doirí Beaga.

The death has taken place of Annie Friel, née Mc Bride of Birmingham / Cotteen, Gweedore.

Predeceased by her husband Dominic, sister Sadie and brother Danny. Sadly missed by her daughters Margaret and Patricia, son Darren, grandchildren, Alexa, Joseph, Freddie, Arlo and Iona, sisters, Maire and Gracie and brothers Owenie and Micheal and extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) on Wednesday from 4pm - 8pm. Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St. Mary's Church, Derrybeg, interment afterwards in Maghergallon Cemetery.

Evelyn Shiels, Cross, Quigleys Point

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Evelyn Shiels, Cross, Quigleys Point.

Evelyn’s remains will leave the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny this evening, Monday at 8pm going to her home.

Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later.

Anthony McHenry, Glenagivney, Lecamy, Moville

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Anthony McHenry, Glenagivney, Lecamy, Moville.

Anthony’s remains will repose at Liam Collins Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh, F93 E4FN on Monday from 7pm to 9pm where you are welcome to pay your respects.

Anthony’s remains will leave Liam Collins Funeral Home on Tuesday at 6.15pm to arrive in St Columba’s Church, Ballinacrae at 7pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Carndonagh Community Hospital Patient’s Comfort Fund.

Mary Kildea, Colehill, Newtowncunningham

The death has taken place of Mary Kildea, Colehill, Newtowncunningham, F93 A8HN. She passed away peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her brother Keith. Deeply regretted and forever loved and missed by her loving mother Margaret, brother Chris (Anne) Karl, sister Helen (Martin), nieces Alicia, Alannah, Kathelyn, Jessica, Esmae, nephews Caolan and Kristian, grand nephew Reuben, aunts, uncles, cousins and a large circle of friends and neighbours.

Remains reposing at her late residence.

Funeral from there on Wednesday, January 10 going to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Liam Travers, (Snr) Sheil Avenue, Bundoran

The death has occurred of Liam Travers, (Snr) Sheil Avenue, Bundoran.

He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Anna and adored father to Marc, Paul, Nieve, Sinead, Liam and Kerry.
 
Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, Paul’s partner Nadine, Nieve’s partner Fabiano, Sinead’s partner Aidan, his beloved grandchildren Aoife, Beth, Caleb, Isabella, Alex and Nathan, his great grandchildren Alicia and Hazel, sisters Mary, Ann and Phena, brother Des, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and all his relatives, neighbours and great friends.
 
Predeceased by his parents Bilshie and Mary-Kate Travers and his dear sister Marguerite.
 
Reposing privately at home. Removal from his late residence on Wednesday, January 10, at 10.45am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran.

Margaret McLoughlin, née Cunningham, Chapel Gate, Carrick

The death has occurred of Margaret McLoughlin, née Cunningham, Chapel Gate, Carrick, F94 K4AA.

She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Sheamus, she will be sadly missed by her daughter Annette, son-in-law Terry, grandchildren Daniel and James, her brother Barney, her sisters-in-law Angela and Bernie, her brother-in-law Leo and her many nieces and nephews and a wide circle of relatives and friends.

Removal from Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara Monday, January 8 at 4pm, to arrive at her late residence for 5pm, travelling via Killybegs. Reposing at her late residence, Chapel Gate, Carrick, from 5pm – 10 pm on Monday, Janaury 8, and from 12 noon until 10pm on Tuesday, January 9. Rosary at 9pm on Tuesday night.

Removal from her late residence on Wednesday, arriving at St. Columba’s Church, Carrick, for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The family home is private on the morning of the Funeral.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to the Carrick Day Care Centre c/o Curran’s Funeral Services, Carrick.

David Watters, Upper Creevy, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of David Watters, Upper Creevy, Ballyshannon.

He passed away peacefully after a short illness in Sheffield, England. Surrounded by his loving family.

The death has occurred of Eamon Cox, Mill St., Pettigo.

Reposing at his late residence from 4pm until 10pm on Monday and Tuesday, strictly private at all other times.
 
Removal from his late residence on Wednesday at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church Pettigo and Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Strictly Family time on morning of the funeral.

Ethel Scott, née Nicholl, 23 Oak Park, Convoy

The death has taken place of Ethel Scott, née Nicholl, 23 Oak Park, Convoy, F93XC8Y. She passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Brindley Manor nursing home.

Predeceased by her dear husband George.

Ethel will be deeply missed and forever loved by her daughter Caroline, daughter Michelle and son David, grandchildren, great grandchildren also by her sisters and brothers and best friend Helen.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence.

Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday, January 10, at 1.30pm for 2pm Funeral Service in Convoy Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard.

Family time please from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Kevin Kelly, Isle View House, Rosemount, Letterkenny, formerly lower Main Street

The death has taken place of Kevin Kelly, Isle View House, Rosemount, Letterkenny, formerly of lower Main Street. He passed away peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his wife Betty, brothers Sean and Eugene, sisters Edna, Maureen and Rosaline. Deeply regretted by son Adrian and wife Brenda, daughter Sharon and partner Leo, grandchildren Kevin, Eamonn, Shaun, Eilish, Fay, Oisin, Betty and great grandchild Aoibheen. Fondly remembered by brother Brian Dublin, extended family members, neighbours and friends.

Kevin’s remains will be reposing at his son Adrian’s residence at the Glebe Gallery, Gartan, Churchhill, F92 WP70 from 7pm this evening, Monday, January 8.

Funeral from there on Wednesday, January 10, going to St.Eunan’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in Leck cemetery.

Margaret Kelly, Dublin and Clonmany

The death has occurred of Margaret Kelly, née Quearney, Shankill, Dublin and Clonmany, who passed away peacefully at St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin 4 after a short illness.

Previously under the wonderful care of the staff at St Joseph’s, Crinken. Formally of Bradford, England. Beloved wife of the late Daniel, devoted mother of Michael, Catherine, Daniel and Patrick and adored grandmother of Coral, Jordan, Sydney, Ross and Hazel.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughter, grandchildren, brother Hugh, sister Mary, sons-in-law Michael and Marc, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

A prayer service will take place on Monday, January 8, at 5pm in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, County Wicklow.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday, January 9 at 2.30pm in St. Michael's Church, Urris, Clonmany followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to St. Joseph’s Crinken or Alzheimer’s Ireland.

Frank Dorrian, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Frank Dorrian, Holloway, London, unexpectedly at his home.

Devoted father of Charlotte, beloved brother to Gerald, Katherine, James and Elaine, and beloved brother-in-law to Marie. Sadly missed by his four nieces and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his loving parents Frank and Margaret, née Doherty, of Ballyshannon and London.

His remains will be reposing at his home, 13 Melchester House, Wedmore Street, Holloway, London on the evening of January 11.

Funeral leaving from there for 10am Requiem Mass on January 12 at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Eden Grove, Holloway, London with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
