Carn Vet Clinic has joined the Inishowen Co-Op group.

The multidisciplinary veterinary practice, located in the heart of Carndonagh, offers veterinary care for all animals, both large and small.

As the most northerly veterinary practice in Ireland, it has served the farmers and pet owners of Inishowen for many years.

The clinic’s newly enhanced premises will feature modern treatment areas for both domestic pets and farm animals, ensuring the continuation of exceptional veterinary services.

Carn Vet Clinic will also provide emergency care around the clock, 365 days a year, with a vet always available at the end of the phone to offer help and advice.

The Inishowen Co-Op said the partnership is an addition to the services the group provides to the community. CEO of Inishowen Co-Op, Gareth Whitmore said: “Welcoming Carn Vet Clinic into the Inishowen Co-Op group ensures that we continue to build on the services we provide to our community. This integration, along with our existing stores, the Inishowen Co-Op Mart, and our Inishleigh feed production facility, reinforces our commitment to sustainability for farming and employment in the region.”

Maria McDermott, manager of Carn Vet Clinic, said: “We are delighted to be joining Inishowen Co-Op, a true institution in the region that provides stability and support to many. Myself and the team feel right at home in this wonderful new facility, and we look forward to meeting you and your animals very soon.”

John Ruddy, chairman of Inishowen Co-Op, expressed his pride in the integration: “We are proud to welcome Carn Vet Clinic to the Inishowen Co-Op family. This strategic decision, secured by our board, ensures that vital veterinary services remain available, not only for the farmers of the peninsula but for all members of our community. This is exactly why the Co-Op was established in the first place.”

The official launch of the new partnership will take place on Monday, October 7, at 12 noon at the Carn Vet Clinic, Carndonagh F93KDK5.
