Speculation is mounting that a surprise Irish act could join the star on stage in Dublin this weekend

Irish fans brace for big surprise guest at Billie Eilish's 3Arena shows as rumours swirl

Pop icon Billie Eilish is set to take over Ireland's 3Arena this weekend, but fans might be treated to more than just the Grammy-winning star's usual setlist.

Rumours are flying that the 23-year-old, who plays two sold-out Dublin gigs on Saturday and Sunday as part of her Hit Me Hard and Soft world tour, could bring out a special Irish guest during her shows.

Bookmakers have now slashed odds on a handful of well-known Irish acts making a surprise appearance, and fans are already frantically speculating online about who it could be.

The pop singer, known for hits like Bad Guy, What Was I Made For? and Happier Than Ever, has already pulled out a surprise guest on tour, with fans in Manchester treated to a duet with her brother, Finneas.

Now, Irish fans are hoping for their own viral moment.

According to Ladbrokes, Cian Ducrot is the hot favourite to appear on stage with Eilish this weekend, with odds of 2/1.

The Cork singer-songwriter, who held an intimate Dublin gig earlier this week, is widely tipped to make the short trip to the 3Arena.

Also in the mix are Dermot Kennedy (3/1), who recently made a surprise appearance at a Zach Bryan concert, and street performer-turned-viral sensation Allie Sherlock (3/1).

KhakiKid, a rising name in Ireland's alt-pop scene, is another outsider at 5/1.

“Cian Ducrot is the punters' favourite to appear onstage at some point over the weekend," said Ladbrokes rep Cal Gildart.

While nothing has been officially confirmed, fans lucky enough to have tickets are being told to keep their eyes peeled, as a surprise may be on the way - and it could be a big one.

Eilish will play back-to-back shows on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 at the 3Arena in Dublin.

Doors open at 5.30pm for each of the two concerts, with support act Syd taking to the stage around 7pm, before Billie is expected on stage at around 8.30pm.
