The Inishowen Choir of Ages is open to all singing levels and all ages
The Inishowen Choir of Ages is returning to auditions after a summer break.
The multi-generational choir comprising of singers aged from five to over-80, returns for rehearsals on September 18.
Open to all singing levels and all ages, the choir is planning performances at Halloween and Christmas.
The choir will perform in St Mary’s Oratory in Buncrana as part of the City of Derry International Choir Festival on October 27 with three other choirs, and has two Christmas performances in the works.
The choir has been singing together for three years with between 50 and 70 members and includes a full band of musicians.
The choir is led by Bernie Doherty, a community musician who regularly works on creative projects in the community from songwriting to music and art for wellbeing projects.
The rehearsals take place from 6.30pm to 7.30pm every Wednesday in The Exchange in Buncrana. The fee is a small weekly donation to cover expenses.
