'Good luck to Paddy' - Ryan Tubridy has words of wisdom for Patrick Kielty ahead of Toy Show

Ryan Tubridy has wished Patrick Kielty the best of luck ahead of tomorrows Late Late Toy Show.

Kielty will take on the mammoth task of hosting one of the biggest television events of the year, but Tubridy says it's "in good hands".

Speaking to Q102's Breakfast this morning, Ryan said he loved being a part of it, but is happy to pass it on.

"I feel so happy that I had 14 beautiful years doing it. I love every single Toy Show I did.

"I feel so happy that I was able to pass it on and it's somebody else's now."

Fans have said they will miss him this Friday but Tubs assured everyone "It's in great hands".

"It's going to be great. There is a wonderful bunch of people working on that show, and I wish them only the best and good luck to Paddy.

"It's a big gig and he is well able for it. I am not going to miss it because I did it and I had my fun.

"And I left the Late Late Show at the right time. I was delighted to leave it behind and I don't say that in a bad way.

"I loved it and that's the critical point in that sentence."

Ryan will be in Clifden on Friday night to switch on the Christmas lights while the first Toy Show with Patrick Kielty kicks off at 9.35pm on RTÉ One.
