A life drawing course is one of those available during the series of workshops
A series of workshops in art are coming up at Artlink at Dunree with Buncrana artist Cara Donaghey.
Donaghey, who is a graduate of the National College of Art & Design, Dublin has exhibited in Donegal, Dublin and Derry.
The three separate workshops run between the end of August and late October. A fee of €20 applies to each course.
The first of the series, Eco-friendly Book Art: Repurposing, printing and binding, runs each Saturday from August 26 to September 23 from 11am to 1pm at Artlink, Dunree.
The four-week course explores artist's books and mixed media books using basic printmaking techniques and found material.
A life drawing course runs each Saturday from August 26 to September 23 from 2pm to 4pm at Artlink. Participants will learn the skill of drawing from a live model in a relaxed setting. No previous experience is required and drawing materials are provided.
The third course is observation and mark making and will run each Saturday from September 30 to October 21 from 11am to 1pm.
During the course, participants will learn mark-making and drawing skills and will learn to draw using their smartphone rather than "life" as their source material. A smartphone or phone with a camera is required and all materials are provided.
